Iran desperate to save Syria's dictator

When the Arab spring started more then a year ago, the regime in Iran gladly supported and embraced the people's rise against their dictators, but as soon as revolution came knocking at Syria's doorstep, the Iranian started singing a different tune.

They first claimed that the revolution in Syria was fake, led by a few thugs who were being led by the Zionist and the Americans, then as things got hotter, the Iranian regime got behind Assad to crush the protest. After more then a year, the protest is still not crushed but only getting more strength, so what are the Iranian to do?  Well, now the Iranian wants to host diplomatic meeting between Assad Regime and the revolutionaries...What a joke!!
Iran is ready to host talks between the Syrian government and opposition groups, the Iranian foreign minister was quoted as saying on Sunday, but members of the opposition quickly rejected the offer

Iran VS UAE

After an unexpected visit by the Iranian president to a set of island both countries claims as part of their territories, the United Arab Emirates decided to recall its ambassador to Iran in protest.
The UAE regards the visit as a gross violation to its sovereignty and rejects Iran claims that these Islands belongs to her.

The 3 small Island in contention are Abu Musa,  the Greater and Lesser tunbs. They are strategically located in the trait of Hormuz, where about one-fifth of the world's oil supply passes. If Iran were to make good on its threat of shutting down the trait of Hormuz, it would have to do so on the back of these 3 Islands.

In 1971, after the British pulled their forces out of the region, Iran quickly invaded these Islands and took control of them as its own. The UAE, which at the time were under the control of the British Empire, believed that as the British granted them their Independence, it also relinquished the Islands to them.

The GCC, an alliance of Arab countries in the Gulf, which the UAE is also a member of, have strongly condemned the Iranian president visit and fully backs the Emirates claims to these Islands.
Iran, on its part, put oil into the fire when one of its military general, Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, basically threatened military action if the UAE were to ever dare try to  take control of these Islands.

These disputes are the manifestation of a cold war between Iran which is mostly Shiite-led, against its Sunni rival, Saudi Arabia. In Syria, Iran fully backs Bashar Al-Assad fight against a Sunni-led rebellion while Saudi Arabia backs the rebels.
If Bashar Al-Assad loses his fight against the rebels, Saudi will gain immensely since it would allowed them to kick Iran's influence out of the region. The Iranians are doing as much as they can to keep the Assad regime in power by making sure its army never run out of bullets to shoot at the protesters in Syria.

Iran is now hated amongst most Sunni Muslims

Because of its strong support for the Syrian regime who's currently trying to break the back of a year-old revolution, Iran has now become as unpopular as the Israelis and American.

According to Reuters news Agency, there are very credible evidence Iran is indeed helping Assad, the Syrian dictator, put down protest inside the Arab country of 22 million.
Tehran's technical assistance to Assad's security forces includes electronic surveillance systems, technology designed to disrupt efforts by protesters to communicate via social media, and Iranian-made drone aircraft for overhead surveillance, the officials said. They discussed intelligence matters on condition of anonymity. Iran has also provided lethal materiel that can be used for riot control, they said. "Over the past year, Iran has provided security assistance to Damascus to help shore up Assad. Tehran during the last couple of months has been aiding the Syrian regime with lethal assistance - including rifles, ammunition, and other military equipment - to help it put down the opposition," a U.S. official said. "Iran has provided Damascus (with) monitoring tools to help the regime suppress the opposition. It has also shared techniques on Internet surveillance and disruption," the official continued. He added that Iran had also provided Assad's government with "unarmed drones that Damascus is using along with its own technology to monitor opposition forces."
The uprising in Syria consist mostly of Sunni-Muslim while the oppressors are mostly of Alawite sect, an off-shoot of shiite-islam, meaning they share similarity with Iranian-Shiite. Iran dilemma is, over 75% of Syria population is Sunni and they all hate Iran now..Then you have the fact the Arab world is mostly sunni and they hate hearing about their brothers and sisters residing next door in Syria being slaughtered by Alawites with the full support of Iran...So this only increases hatred toward Iran throughout the Arab world.

For decades, Iran has posted itself as the leader of all Muslim against the oppressing Israelis...but now, they've been unmasked as hypocrites who have helped the Syrian regime kill 10 thousands Muslims...The Israeli can now claim Iran has killed more Muslim in one year then Israel has done throughout its entire existence.

Tyrants recognizes Tyrants!

By now, we are all an agreement that the regime in Tehran is one of the most  despicable regime on the face of this planet. Only a few Dictatorship can match its shameful record of oppression against its own population but
unfortunately, just when you thought these maniacs could not behave any worse, they go out and prove you wrong once more!
